 K2 Cares has helped numerous charities in upper-Midwest raise money and provide valuable services
A lot of hard work, dedication and innovation helped K2 become a leader in the shipping and supply chain management industry. A good chunk of that success is due to Minnesota’s safe, family-friendly communities which assist the company in attracting and fostering a well-trained, highly-skilled workforce. As part of maintaining and growing strong communities, the K2 Cares program spends a lot of time, energy and resources giving back to organizations that make Minnesota a great place to live and raise a family.
Over the last several years, K2 Cares has donated products and logistics capabilities which have helped a multitude of charities in their fundraising and service providing efforts.
“We’ve been very fortunate in our business endeavors, and feel it’s important to support those organizations working just as hard to provide valuable services to our communities,” said Tom Lehmann, K2 Logistics’ Chief Strategy Officer. “Giving back and making a difference is not only the right thing to do but is rewarding for all K2 Logistics’ employees.”
K2 Cares is proud to have helped the following organizations raise money or provide shipping services:
- Dakota Woodlands, a nonprofit which empowers homeless women to create stable futures for their families in Dakota County.
- SAVE, a 24/7 suicide prevention and awareness organization
- The University of Minnesota’s Gopher Athletic Fund and “M” Club, which provide scholarships and internship opportunities for U of M student-athletes
- Salvation Army; assisted with transporting 36,000 pounds of pasta to flood victims in Iowa
- Children’s Miracle Network; partnered with Great Clips on fundraising event
- Toys for Tots; provided logistics to transport toys from Twin Cities Best Buy locations to the charity’s distribution center
- Area Athletic Programs: Minnetonka Diamond Club, Chaska-Chanhassen Hockey Association
